There are good restaurants in Buxton including Italian, Indian, Chinese, Pizza Express; particularly good are Simply Thai, and Sushi Kaji. The Michelin starred Fischers in Baslow is excellent, but book ahead.
Pubs
The New Inn in Flash is closest (15 minutes walk). A short drive away in Wincle, is a great 17th century pub The Ship Inn who serve food. A little further (20 minutes) but definitely worth the drive is The George in Alstonefield: a traditional English pub on the village green serving very good food. Also try The Rose and Crown in Allgreave, The Crag Inn in Wildboarclough, and The Tap House in Buxton.
Supermarkets
Buxton has Waitrose, Morrisons, and Aldi, supermarkets. For Tesco or Sainsburys go to Macclesfield, and there's a Coop in Leek. Waitrose, Tesco, Sainsburys, and Ocado will deliver if you order online. There's a mini supermarket at Flash Bar (1 mile).
