Built later than the farmhouse, Overbrook Barn dates back to the early nineteenth century.
A traditional pink gritstone building it was a livestock shippon with a hayloft, and was in agricultural use until early 2009 when we started converting it.
Now we hope you'll find Overbrook Barn is a delightful and cosy place to spend a holiday in our spectacular countryside.
Overbrook has its own long driveway which ends with parking for at least
four cars immediately outside your gate.
Recently converted, like the
Shearing Shed, the style is clean, modern and cosy rather
than rustic. The living room, dining room, and
kitchen are on the ground floor in a single open-plan space with three beautiful picture-window views
over the farm. There's a log burning stove, TV, BluRay DVD, and a music
system.
The main bedroom with super-king double bed and ensuite is off this room. The
ensuite has lavatory, hand basin, shower, and towel radiator.
Upstairs are the other three bedrooms and the bathroom. The upstairs bedrooms
all have twin beds but these can be made into super-king doubles if you prefer.
The bathroom has a bath with shower-over, lavatory, basin, and towel radiator. All bedrooms have natural fibre carpet, duvets with cotton
sheets and covers (bed linen and towels are provided, and we can provide hypoallergenic bedding if you need it).
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials you'll
need for adventurous cooking for a full house! It includes Neff oven, microwave,
and ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and washer/dryer, along with the
usual range of kitchen equipment: food processor, toaster, kettle, etc..
Central heating keeps the barn deliciously warm 24 hours a day, Overbrook has its own phone which you're welcome to use, and there's free wireless broadband internet
throughout.
Overbrook has a gated and lit garden which is secure for small children.
There's a barbeque area with seating for eight, and a hot tub rental can be arranged if you'd like. Well behaved pets are welcome and there's plenty of room for off-the-lead walking on the farm.
There's bags of room to smoke on the farm but please don't smoke inside. The farm is your playground:
treat it as if you owned the place!
